At Colour Magic Creative we are all about having fun with self-expression, creativity and imagination!
Founded by Katia, a Melbourne artist and experienced art educator, Colour Magic Creative is an art program for primary school aged children designed to develop creative thinking and foster self-expression through visual arts
With over 7 years of experience working with children at kindergarten services, after-school art workshops and a Bachelor of Fine Art degree, Katia brings art knowledge, skills and always her own artistic talent to every art experience with children, encouraging them to explore materials, techniques and most of all their own talent and creative voice!
Katia's major source of inspiration is her daughter's own creative voice. Nadia has influenced every step of Katia's creative practice from birth, through toddler years, preschool and now final years of primary. Nadia is now 11 years old and contributes to many art experiences and creative (often scientific) experiments in Colour Magic Creative art workshops and blog posts.

During school terms, Katia runs After School Art Studio classes for primary school children at Woodlea Smart Learning Hub on Fridays 4.15pm-5pm.
Another art class will be running in Essendon on 31st of August and 14th of September at 2.15pm-3pm as a trial before Term 4 (for 6-12 year old children) and will re-commence in Term 4 depending on enrolments.
Please contact Katia if you would like to register your interest in attending any of these classes.
'I believe kids need time and space to explore and test how materials work and how their ideas can be expressed through art in a creative and nurturing environment while learning new skills and sharing the experience with others. Every class gives children an opportunity to learn about art and designs techniques utilised by artists and all types of creative makers from past and present. Every month of the term has a different theme which makes it even more fun for kids to come and be as creative as they want!'
